Backround: Benedictine Monastery Ochsenhausen, Church St. Georg. Originally late gothic basilica, 1725-1737 modified by Oberelchingen´s Architect Christian Wiedemann. Fresco cycles at cask vaults in the nave: Johann G. Bergmüller (1725-1727). Choir: high baroque, by Ferdinand Zech (oak- and walnut tree timber). Pulpit: by sculptor Ägid Verhelst d. Ä./Netherlands (1742) - it is regarded as a masterpiece of Rococo.
